END OF THE PIER

The final section of the UK's only Grade I listed pier, photographed during some of the lowest tides of the year from 2012 until the present day. An ongoing project that will end once its finally disappeared into the sea. As seems appropriate for a project concerning the slow passing of time each image is created using a very long exposure, varying from one to four minutes. This has the effect of flattening the water movement, isolating the details of this grand old structure and highlighting what is no longer there.
