SOUTH DOWNS - WOODWORK
The South Downs National Park has more woodland than any other national park in England and Wales. The trees on the South Downs have been cultivated, managed, coppiced and abandoned over many years, leading to an ever changing landscape and creeping disorder amidst regimented plantation rows. It’s impossible to find a true wilderness in one of the most crowded corners of the country, but it’s perfectly possible to get happily lost in these places for hours.
